DECEMBER 2017

This month's key message

I choose to let go so that I can be myself.

This month’s theme is about surrendering - letting go of the things you can't control so that you can start being in command of you. The truth is, when we are experiencing frustration, unhappiness or even despair in an aspect of our life or in general with us, it's because we want to be in control of what we can't be in control of. We stay in the uncomfortable comfort zone doing a whole load of stuff that doesn't serve us and then experience painful lessons that awaken us to the need to stop white-knuckling life and clinging to thoughts, stories, situations, things and even people that are blocking us from evolving and experiencing more contentment and joy in our lives. Learning to recognise when you're clinging and then letting go... and then letting go some more, is surprisingly liberating and frees you up to be more of who you really are.

THIS MONTH'S PRE-RECORDED WEBINAR: Surrender... and then surrender some more

Surrendering Journaling Prompts

I've put together a selection of questions for you to pick and choose from. Hint: any question that brings up resistance and a level of discomfort is one that may be flagging up an opportunity for you to confront a truth.

Surrendering - A Handy Exercise

After talking with so many people over the years about situations they've been in where they are think that they're responsible for something, I hit upon this realisation that there's actually a very simple way to work out whether it's something that you're responsible for and so in control of.

Professor Life worksheet

In episode 87 of the podcast, I explain about how life basically has us sitting in on various lessons and how we graduate when we finally learn what we need to learn. I put together a set of illuminating questions that really help you to get to the heart of what it is that you need to face so that you can, of course, stop trying to to control the things you can't control and instead, step into your purpose and potential.

Harnessing The Power of Affirmations

Have you pooh-poohed affirmations, so positive, act-as-if statements in the past? Well, you're not alone, but when I discovered that I could use affirmations as a way to redirect negative thought patterns and to self-soothe, after years of being resistant, I was committed to these powerful statements.

I put together this guide to give you the 'Baggage Reclaim' take on this subject and it includes my favourite affirmations as well as some tips to help you create your own.
